MEDIATION

In over 37 years of practice, Leonard Kerr as an attorney has handled hundreds of divorce trials and thousands of settlements. As a pro-tem judge and mediator/arbitrator, he has settled hundreds of divorce cases. Mediation is a process where the people in dispute meet with a neutral third party to resolve conflicts. Mediators are unbiased, neutral third parties, who guide parties through a structured negotiation process. Mediators do not dictate the settlement, but assist the parties in reaching their own mutually agreeable solution. If the parties cannot voluntarily reach a settlement, they have the option of stipulating that the mediator become the arbitrator. With the knowledge gained during the mediation process the arbitration usually will quickly be concluded.

PROBATE
